Collioure
Wednesday in Laroque is Market Day.
Les Caranques - a small river with rockpools where one can swim: one hour's walk from the house (or a ten-minute car drive plus ten minutes on foot).
The Raho lake not far away
Great hiking tracks "at the door". Several riding-clubs close by.
Two mountains to climb! - the Néoulous (backdrop to Laroque and the border with Spain) is the highest peak in the Albères (1257m) and the Catalan "sacred mountain", the Canigou, which is 2786m.
